Wewessa Falls is 22m in height and its source is a tributary of the Bathulu Oya (Bathulu River), which only flows during rain. The forest is being denuded and this, combined with colonisation and illegal logging, has put the fall in danger of drying up.
The fall can be
found at the 5th milepost on the Badulla highway, Badulla district.
