Having the twin (left and right) Waterfalls Ranpuhalan Water Falls is located at the base of the Dambegahawela Mountain Range. It derives its name from an abyss believed to be bottomless. The left stream (20m) is bigger than the right (18m). At the point of its birth, there is a very deep pool called 'Ranpuhulanwala', According to village beliefs, a flight of stone steps in a tunnel leading to its bottomless depths. Also a golden melon is said to be seen floating, which gives rise to it's name.
