The 45m fall flows sluggishly until the eastern monsoon during December and March. An irrigation tank has been created, by damming the fall’s upper reaches.
Take the road from Kandy Wathmulla to Nuwara Eliya, and the fall is situated near the 31st mile post between Hanguranketha and Rilillagasketha. The nearest town is Rikiilagaskada.
