Gopala Pabbatha
From Rankoth Vehera you can reach the Gopala Pabbatha. This is a collection
of rock caves located in a serene atmosphere. Brakmin inscriptions on these
caves indicate that these caves were inhabited as far as 2nd century BC. Later
these caves have been used by forest dwelling monks. Today four caved Buddha
statues can be seen on one of the caves.
